Community Housing Development Organization
NeighborWorks Lincoln is considered a Community Housing Development Organization. As such, we have committed to a governance structure that centers the voices of residents from low income census tracts and prevents municipal staff (and elected leaders) from having an outsized influence on organizational decision making. CHDO status provides the opportunity for NeighborWorks to receive HOME funds, which provide much needed support to real estate development activities.
