424 N. 24th Street Open House

12.11.13

On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, NeighborWorks Lincoln, in conjunction with Realtor John Tidball and local design mavens, Juliane Glasco and Alison Hill of Loft and Craft, held a neighborhood open house at 424 N. 24th Street.

This 5 bedroom 2.5 bathroom home was built in 1905 by Jennie and William White for a mere estimated $2500! The Whites remained in the home for at least four decades. The house is a beautiful example of an American Foursquare, with a Neoclassical porch. The full height columns are typical of early 20th century homes.

Sadly, prior to NeighborWorks Lincoln’s remodel of this home, it had fallen into disrepair. See the last six pictures in the gallery below for “before” images of the home. As you can from the “after” images below, the home has now been restored to its former glory and is an excellent addition to the up and coming Malone neighborhood in the core of Lincoln. The beautiful furniture and artwork designed and staged by Loft and Craft make it easy to imagine this home becoming a warm, welcoming oasis for a lucky Lincoln family. Be sure to note the incredible westward view from the third story window; it’s really something!

This lovely home is currently for sale. Please contact John Tidball at 402.730.7890 for more information.

Opening Doors in Our Community

NeighborWorks Lincoln is a non-profit organization dedicated to community revitalization through an active partnership of resident leaders, private businesses and public officials. We open doors for people to achieve their dreams of home ownership and for others who desire a safe and attractive neighborhood.

I wasn’t sure how to move forward, but then I heard about NeighborWorks. It is truly an amazing program…I hope more people use this great service to help themselves and to help Lincoln look better. Thanks, NWL!
