This Arbor Day, NeighborWorks Lincoln and its partners at Sinclair Hille Architects, Olsson Associates and Brester Construction, planted a variety of beautiful trees in the Antelope Creek Village (ACV) green space located on the corner of 23rd and P Streets. The tree planting marks the beginning of a phase of improvements that will be made to the green space over the course of the next few months. The project took into consideration input from the ACV residents and Malone/Hawley neighbors, which was solicited at a recent community charrette. NeighborWorks received partial funding for the project through a Community Forestry Cost-Share agreement with the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (NRD); the remainder of the cost was provided through private donations and in-kind labor. We want to thank all of our aforementioned partners, as well as the NRD and community residents, for making this happen!
