Description:
- Six post-purchase courses are scheduled for this year: 15-20 households participate each time.
- The classes are three hour sessions offered day a month.
- Lead educators are NeighborWorks®Lincoln staff members with over 25 years of experience.
Class topics are a combination of financial literacy topics, home maintenance topics and neighborhood involvement topics. Classes will include a variety of the topics listed below:
- Managing finances, budget and credit after a home purchase
- Protecting the equity in your home
- Taxes, Insurance and long term financial goals
- Getting involved in your neighborhood
- Understanding city codes and how they affect you as a homeowner
- Basic Plumbing repair
- Basic Wall Repair (plaster and drywall)
- Window, screens and door repair
- Outdoor maintenance
- Other home repair topics as requested by participants
